Good luck to the boys for the next few matches - unfortunately I'm off on my hols and so will miss the games against Cheshunt and Eastleigh, plus the cup tie at Croydon Athletic. I look forward to my text service telling me we've won more matches with me not there (I'll take a few more 3-0s like Braintree). Make sure you horrible lot give the boys your full vocal support and backing, and make sure you're nice to Frankie in the cup.

 

I'm going to try to get to the Las Palmas match while I'm away but I'll be waiting in anticipation for my next non-league fix. See you in a couple of weeks

You can't take you holidays during the close season? You should change jobs.

Normally I wouldn't have contemplated having a holiday during the season but knowing that I was already going to miss some matches, due to an unreasonable Reading supporter deciding to get married in October on a saturday and have his stag weekend in the west country. If he had any sort of passion for football then a) he wouldn't support Reading and would not have arranged a wedding during the season complete with Stag.

 

Already missing a couple of matches, it suddenly seemed less of a crime missing a couple more. And if we win 3-0 every game I miss then I may even consider staying away on a permanent basis for the good of the team.

Or just don't take any holidays at all and avoid all non-football people (and I include Reading suppoters in that cetegory). That's my way.

I seem to remember you went on holiday in March which would have meant missing the Worthing match, had it not been postponed after the booking was made. Does that trip not count as a holiday?

I had incredible foresight and knew the Worthing game would be called off. Or I was just plain lucky.
