Great news about the boy Deacon Rob! Signed and committed his future to the Saints! The saviour has returned.

Top 6 by Christmas, Champions by Easter.

[Just a thought Rob. He was Mr Versatility last season. He played right back, and that's Dean Hooper's shirt for now. He also played right sided and left-sided midfield and that's Ben Walshe and err.. someone else at present. Options, Rob. Options. Stabalisation. Perhaps he could be converted to play centre-back as we are a bit light at present. And up front with Lee Clarke.]

He's playing for Hatfield Town tomorrow, I hear.

Signed forms ... wow ...so did Rydehard, Knight and a few others ... need I say more.

Yes playing for the reserves (sorry Hatfield Town) tomorrow alongside david "Bullett" Parkinson and Allister Collins away v Sandridge.

This news should double their normal gate !!

I heard that as well. I also understand that a couple of other fringe/ reserve players are lined up to play for the 'Town'.

Now, not wanting to appear bitter and twisted, but I will anyway. One of the 'reasons' for moving into the Capital League was that if the chaps are to progress they need to play in a better standard of football and be ready to, if required, step into the breach.

So, here's a good idea, let's get them playing in the Herts County League, no disrespect, against Hinton and London Road, Sandridge etc. absolute powers in local football.

Obviously then, when required, they'll be ready. Having played in a standard of football very close to the Conference South.

What a load of w@nk.

The more a look at the current situation, the more it sickens me. Short sighted isn't the word(s). Without going too far, the people who made the decision to this need to take a serious look at themselves.

Was it done for the right reasons ? I don't think so.

What is the rationale behind this load of [****!!****]. As discussed in a previous thread, how many quality young players have left this club under the current regime. Instead what do we get, a bunch of mercs who couldn't give a [***!!***] as long as they pick up their dosh. I will admit that there are exceptions, but they are in the minority.

What the fck is going on when Hatfield Town are our nursery club. I know a few of the guys there and I mean no disrespect, but fck me. Last year we played D & R, Heybridge, Braintree, Leyton and best of all, Canvey Island.

What's next, Standon and Fcking Puckeridge

Where is this club going, and does anyone care ? Again, I recognise the exceptions.

I'm not going to the game tomorrow and I think that that says it all. These people make me fking sick

There used to be a real hardcore of die hard support to away matches, whether it be 15 or as is now the case, 150 miles. They are beginning to drop like flies and I can see them not returning and that includes both away and home games. This club needs to start getting its act together and pronto. I fear, however, that it will just continue to slide and slide and slide until the situation becomes completely irretrievable. Most supporters are not idiots and can see very clearly that there are as many, if not more, problems off the pitch as on it. The heirarchy needs to take a good hard and honest look at itself because, quite frankly, this once great club is in freefall. The decision to cut last year's highly successful reserves set-up and then move to the Capital League was indeed imbecilic, HKS but it is only endemic of the total ineptitude which prevails within the higher levels of the club at this present time.

Not hard to guess who they are then (the four amigos or is it five)? Bet they were the first in line to have their terms sorted out.

The best post I've read in eons, HKS, by a fkg country mile. You're not alone, mate.
