I've listened to the interview with Roy and there is nothing new to what we already know. In summary, Roy was saying that whilst the hospitality at Windsor is fantastic, we want our own stadium and to have our own identity. He explained that Martyn Deaner thought we were well on the way until the change in local government. MD is said to be looking at one or two sites. The club is proud of its fanbase but obviously the fans want to see the club in a stadium it can call home. There was a brief bit explaining why we are no longer at Wexham Park, a brief bit about the fact we've had a good start to the season (bar a 'hiccup' on tuesday). The reorganisation has been good for Slough and if anything has cut down the travel. The league is a higher standard than last season but Roy is confident the players can and will be able to play at this higher level and be successful. The reorganisation of the pyramid means that clubs have ot be progressive both on and off the field and that Conference South looks an exciting league. He concluded by saying he hoped to be able to speak again in a few weeks or months with some great news about Slough Town FC.

There, saved you the money of ringing yourselves.

Cheers for that big man. Did he say a few weeks or two weeks? Anyway all sounds quite positive let's hope MD's plans come to fruition.

That is all that I would have expected to hear.

I hope that Martyn has learnt from this summer's upheaval that it is worth working 'with' the supporters, and hence keeping us informed (within reason - remembering that many business dealings would have to remain confidential until legally binding). If this is the case, I would not have expected any new information to be released via a premium rate phone line.
