CK asks fans to travel to Homelands.

It costs a lot 80+ miles round trip when we used to have a couple to Hartsdown and twice as far as Dover.

The cost in petrol (and time)is significant

Surely it is not going to be permanent at Homelands and for the temporary period I would hope that Margate fans might at least make the effort, finance allowing.

It is a somewhat longer round trip for me from South East London and I won't get the advantage of the couple of miles when Margate go back to Hartsdown.

Come on, support the man and be positive.

when are people gonna stop moaning about going to ashford??? if you can't afford to go - DON'T!!! the fact is that we are playing there for this season and that's not gonna change! i make every effort to get to as many games as i can and i live in hertfordshire! i want us back at hartsdown just as quick as the next man, but for now i have to accept that i will have to go to ashford and watch the team i support play - at least we still have a team to go and watch!!! get over it already!!!

if any of you had a bit of common sense, you would car share! 5 in a car that would in cost terms make it a 16 mile round trip. see cheap as chips!

anyway if i was i wud not go cos you will get beat! lol x

A bit unfair to ask people to stop the moaning about having to travel to Ashford you say "if you can't afford it don't go" if thats the case fair enough, but a) its not always about the cost, time is a valuable commodity at weekends and what used to be a two to two and a half visit on Saturday afternoon, now turns into a 5 hour event.

and B) if people cannot afford the time or money to attend don't make out they are not "loyal supporters" or shout them down.

It pains me that I find it difficult to attend "home games" and Mark greens injury aside, quite enjoyed the game against Hayes on Saturday.

Further research could go into car sharing. It probably would'nt take much to monitor all the cars that enter the cars in the car park, just to see how many travel alone or manage to bring others with them. Maybe a short questionnaire.

4 or 5 in a car has got to be better than £8 on the coach!!

it takes me 45 mins to drive to ashford (M2 Way), and it used to take me 35-45 to get to dover(took up to 15 mins some days just to do a right at the lights by ground)

sure is a tad further to ashford but really isnt noticable. on the fuel front its no diffrent to my tank as its on a run rather than going to dover which involved a lot of queing.

so this rubbish about being further or taking more time/costing more cash is quite seriously beyond a joke.....
