Serious Question

Banter aside for a second, but a hypothetical question for you guys. Out of interest, how much can/could you develop your ground if money was no object? Are there restrictions with the land behind the far goal and covered terracing on the left (opposite the main stand) if they were required?

 

Obviously Peter Simpson appears to be quite an ambitious fellow and wondered what could be done with the ground in future to aid that progression if required.

I've heard that they have permission to build a training area to the side of the groud so i guess that would be opposite the main stand...I've even heard that there are plans or permission build at one end although that may just be pub talk and come to nothing!

Plans are for a training pitch behing the club house end goal.

 

As for the main stand plans have been knocking round for over 12 years to redo it with bar's, changings rooms, physio room, etc.

 

Plans, I am sure, were also drawn up for covering behind each goal.

During the mid eighties i was at school with a kid who's dad who worked for the council drew the plans for a large complex.

There was a running track and astro pitch behind the chicken run with a double sided stand.

It looked seriously cool and i think WSE Athletics club were going to move there.

As this was being considered by the council obviously nothing happened but i believe the planning permission was not a problem just getting everyone involved to agree to a single plan.

Money no object i reckon we could extend chicken run side and behind the park end just tidy up the rest.

But really, our ground needs covered behind both goals, decent parking and that would be fine for us outside of the footy league. <img src="/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />
