..when Windsor win and Slough Town Lose!

Tony Reid scores with a good header, we win, Slough get stuffed. Great Night!!!

Anyone know how Slough played, were they outplayed or was it some bad refereeing and good old fashioned luck.

talking of funny, i had a look on the Slough web site looking for a review of the game and I came across a very funny section, songs Slough sing for their players. Hav Slough started singing at games? I admit i have only been going to watch windsor for 25 or more years so may not have been around when they lat sung at a derby, but with a much smaller support Windsor alway outsing their local rivals. Definitley never heard any of the songs on the list, usually just "REEEB-BBBEELLLSS" a few times in the match regardles of whether they are winning losing or drawing.

We're gonna win the league, cos we've got Tony Reid, still makes me chuckle.

Regarding the Slough match, 4-0 was a bit of a flattering scoreline but Staines were good for the victory. We had a goal disallowed before Staines took the lead with a header that was judged to have crossed the line, though being down the other end I can't say either way. Staines played their typically physical style which result in Ian Hodges limping off injured which is certainly a worry. In the second half some poor defending gave Staines a second, the third I would dispute as the scorer was clearly pulling our defender back in a chase for the ball before slotting past the keeper. The 4th I don't know much about as the Staines Rent-A-Chav army were far too entertaining, marching from the other end of the ground to try to start trouble with the Slough supporters, before an official in a shirt and tie chased them away.

A night to forget but sometimes these things happen. We still clapped our boys off the pitch, were making more noise than Staines (who according to the figures of their webmaster had at least 400 home supporters, though the overal figure of 551 was more than a little dubious in my opinion) and it will be written off as a bad day at the office.

As for Slough supporters making noise - you should have come along to the Capital League match last week Mr Fuzz - we even make noise at the reserves <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I said it on another thread but will repeat it here - a good result last night against Salisbury

Unfortunately i am unable to make as many matches as i used to and reserve matches are a luxury i cannot afford, time wise.

I know what you mean about Staines, physical on the pitch, pikie off it.

You must have seriously outnumbered them, were they really going to start trouble, or just call you names until they get told off and then brag about how they 'had' the Slough away fans.

You should still be beating teams like Staines though, haven't you got Yeading soon, that could be interesting.

Last night was okay, we got outplayed in the first half, with the wind, but deserved the win for a good second half.

They brought a few fans with them as well, quite vocal, always nice to hear.

Good luck for the season and can't wait to hear the singing match we shall have at our derby
