How come he played for Saints on Monday then (if the Welwyn Hatfield Times is to be believed) socred a hat trick for Hatfield Town against Codicote in the Herts County Senior the following evening?

He's about our best player in my opinion, and were he to leave, I think he'd go up a division rather than down several.

But surely if he's registered for one Saturday side, he can't go off and play for another one just like that? Hatfield Town are a Saturday side 3 divisions below the Saints after all.

 

I mean, what's to stop Jermaine Defoe playing for Spurs one day, then Bournemouth the next because Spurs haven't got a game?

 

Isn't about where he's registered rather than contract?

I am probably wrong but as a registered player you can play for another team that is not in your league (obviously with the managers permission)
