Something to do with his dedication to the club, constantly phoning through to Steve to check on things, sticking with the club through thick and thin, attending every game regardless of weather, injury status, suspension.<p>Something along those lines.

Steve mentioned that he'd looked on the site on a couple of occassions and seen people slagging him off. I think that Chris thinks it comes across as Steve having a dig at us for having a dig at him.

Personally thought Barras should have cleared up. Howard and Hakki have done well but they do have off days whereas Barras seemed to put in an excellent performance week in, week out. However, shouldn't take anything away from the winners, congratulations to all. Definately agree with your comments, Chris, about who the club should be based around next season, maybe my only addition would be Winston who I think there is a lot more to come from. Lets just hope (although I can't imagine it personally) for a worry free summer and maybe, if we're lucky, the resignation of a couple of rather high profile club staff members (I wonder who they could be). <img src="graemlins/deejay.gif" border="0" alt="[deejay]" />

Why did people have to wait around until 7-00pm for the awards ceremony? Surely they could have been presented on the pitch after the game, more people would have been able to show their appreciation to the winners. Instead people had to wait until 7-00pm (not enough time to go home and return) therefore donating money over the bar to the Thornes. Like everything else about the running of our club it makes no sense.

It's the way it's always done. The players complete their match, have their after match briefing (Yeah Right!), and clean up.<p>The word going round the hall for the presentations was that the delay came about because the players were being paid.... <sigh>
