Sorry for the delay, folks. Been sampling the boardroom hospitality at Gillingham for the U17 international tournament all day.

 

Uxbridge were a very strong, very experienced and very physical side that basically outfought and outbattled us. We had seven of the first team squad unavailable for various reasons including five first team regulars but I think that even our strongest line-up would have struggled to keep the score down to three or four goals.

 

Uxbridge are a very, very good side and I think we were just unlucky to draw such a strong outfit so early in the competition.

No matter what the competition luck plays a very big part,who is available and playing well,the opponents and the officials appointed can all have a major effect.
