Have got to pass comment on the team of officials who managed the game and the players really well today.

 

I must confess that a weaker referee would not have given a penalty for the Town and would not have let the game flow like today's excellent official.

 

Well done to all three. It's not just because we won. Praise where praise is due. If they come back for another game after the hospitality they received today, they will certainly want to come back.

What a great afternoon! Thanks to SL for organising for Little Miss Happy to be mascot and thanks to all the supporters who cheered her off the pitch. She had a great time and Very Little Miss Happy enjoyed her first ever footie match at the tender age of 3. A great result and a very exciting game. Chopper was first class and should replace David James on wednesday night. The whole team were fantastic!

The attendance on Sunday (391) was the second highest of the round which is rather impressive.

 

Well done to AFC Wimbledon for the highest attendance. Is 2696 a record for the Preliminary Round?

 

According to the FA website Eton Manor had an attendance of 16 at home to Cornard Utd (1-3). Is this correct Manor Boys?

From this weeks Centre Spot (#4 4/9/04):

Still not quite as low as London APSA v Sawbridgeworth Town on 14th August... 4! (They had 19 this week v Basildon). Guess this must be paying customers only! Will be some 'interesting attendances this season now that they must be declared.

ESL attendances are recorded on the another site. Eton Manor did end up being the worst (16) but pity for Enfield Town which would, in normal circumstances be brilliant but for AFC Wimbledon who managed a few more ... 2696 !
