That reminds me, I have yet to change some of the dates on my site... I belive it was away. Lets hope for an improvement from the trip to Croydon A last season.

Silly question but what team did Matt play for to make him cup tied?

By the sounds of it, he played in the Cup for Ford Sports. This is taken from a previous thread:

I thpught they were too low to play in the FA Cup.

As long as a team meets the ground criteria, they can enter. Ford Sports presumably did, and therefore entered.

Does the same apply for the FA Trophy?

I would have thought so. As long as teams meet the minimum requirements, I guess it is up to them to apply.

I think even pub sides can enter the FA Cup, as long as they are able to play on a suitable ground (not necessarily theirs), so teams as low as, and lower then, Ford Sports are eligible.

Remember though, it could be worse - it's Croydon Athletic, not Croydon - not as bad as the awful Arena !

I remember seeing a woman matching that description at the game there last season - she looked about 50 and was sat in the stand and shouted something like 'who loves ya, Marlon' at one of their players... couldn't help but laugh.
