None at all, to be fair to our visitors we have always matched the age they have provided, so if they provide 14 year old. We will try to get someone between 10-16 and if they provide someone of 30, we will try to get someone between 25-35. Close as we can possibly get.

 

Try to match up the sexes too. We had Lisa, used to be Ginge 19, now Blonde lisa 19 with a Sutton Girl, there girl was not keen, so they had a bloke who they call Judith Chalmers that came up against our Ginge.

Thought it was an excellent performance from the boys creating and taking plenty of chances in the first half which meant there was no nail biting in the second which was a nice change for this season.

 

Understandably the game tailed off in the second half when there was little threat from Braintree.

 

I will take Mark's word for it that they were having an off day but their defence did look very shakey. Their four and seven had mares. Obviously wish you the best for the rest of the season excluding the return fixture of course. And if you could take some points from Windsor that would be particularly good.

 

Very convincing performance at the back and another clean sheet to boot. Clearly Jake is a shoe in for the inaugural player of the month award provided that Radders does not fix it so he gets to touch up a certain conference standard player.

 

And what a pass from Saulsbury. Brilliant.

 

Up to third which is bloody marvellous. Two tough fixtures coming up now but play to that standard and who knows. Come on Rebels.

I'd heard some good things about Braintree, and looking at some of their signings, Danny Gay, Bertie Brayley and Ollie Adedeji stick out (played in the Ryman Prem for Hornchurch) as well as Gavin McGowan. Adedeji was awful, and Gay didn't impress me. On yesterday's showing, I'd rather have had Whincup and Daly any day. I'm extremely proud of Eddie and the team - being 3rd is a great achievement when you consider we lost the season's opener (losing to Dover looks more and more like a bad result now !!). If we can keep this kind of form going, then who knows what we can achieve?

The Dover result does not look good now, but as I have said repeatedly they did lash in two goals from twenty yards plus. There is something a bit flukey about that. I mean it was not as if Super Lee scored two belters every game is it. Had those not gone in we would have had a point and they would be bottom. That result was very tough on us and bloody lucky for them. Unfortunately their luck seems to have run out whereas we bounced back brilliantly. Full credit to Eddie and the boys.

Incidentally Dover have had problems thus far this season, and last, with their (now-ex) manager Richard Langley playing players out of position and generally being incompetent - he was sacked after a board meeting last night, following their sixth straight defeat. Dover have won something like 2 of their last 23, one being against us !!!

Taling of Super Lee Riddell he came on as Syb for Farnborough yesterday in their win against Tamworth.
