Wow! 27miles! Only 10 People showed sadly. The walk was completed in a time of just over 7 hours (Would have been 6 if David was'nt doing it!) And we arrived to a rupterous applause (2 People Clapping!)
I have just managed to climb the stairs to reach the computer so it will be a while before Chris, Gary and Glen post!!

Actually the walk was completed in just under 7 hours. Left Slough at 8:15, thanks to the organiser being late, and arrived at Walton at 14:57. A lovely walk made even better by Dave's stories of cats and stiffness and his absolutely breathtaking power-walking. His comments as well were spell-binding. For example here are Dave's top 3.
At 3: Why is it still 4 miles to Walton? I thought it was only 20.
In at 2: How much is the £1.00 ice cream altogether?
And at 1: This would have been much quicker by road.
Thank you Dave and all the walking crew.
BTW the score was 1-0 to Slough with a Roach goal ten minutes from time. Well deserved and the team went off to a good reception from the large Slough following. The 6 man Staines Massive were slightly overpowered!

OUCH!

I've been allowed by nursey to write a quick message before she has to massage me again...

Well done all, sadly not many bothered to join us but the ones who made the effort deserve a big pat on the back, i personally feel good for doing it.

It was a good day out, with many funny stories along the way! im sure we could have got there in less than 27 miles though!!! ok back to the massage table...

Thought it would have been nice to see Martin Deaner and Steve Browne congratulate us, seeing as we were doing it for them! Only a quick handshake from Mr Merryweather was all we got. Dont Expect Deaner or Browne Sponsored anyone?
Thanks a lot!!

A very big thank you to:
Glen Riley

Chris Boxall

Radders

Matt C

Emma

AND

'The Pussy Prowler' David Pearcy
for keeping me company on the walk.
Special thanks to John Tebbit for the route, Alan Harding for his enthusiasm in coming and the biggest thank you of all for Kevin McGoldrick for participating.
For all those who took sponsorship forms, please can you try to get the money in for this week to hand in with a copy of your sponsorship forms for the home game at Bognor. I'll keep track of who has handed forms in and who we are waiting on.
I am hoping that between the walkers we have raised nearly £2000 with more money coming in from people who took forms on behalf of those doing the walk.
