Do you know what? I think I can feel the effect of me nearing my twenties, because I actually have a hangover today. I mean, I did drink A LOT yesterday but it never used to have this effect on me.

 

Is this normal??

haha! at least when I go to uni, I'll be like the drinking veteran! I mean I'm gonna be surrounded by younger people, fresh out of college, no experience of late night drinking/ early morning rises. Oh [***!!***], I'm gonna turn into mother hen!

how the fk can you reach 20 with no drinking experience.. surely you have mastered the trade by the time you are 17...?

well, my friend (who I went out with last night)is 18 and he only started drinking properly when he turned 18! So there are people out there who lack experience.

 

Also a lot of these people are gonna be like 'no parents, no job- drink,drink,drink!' I mean I'll probably be the same but hopefully able to handle it better!

I did today, (Saturday) !

 

Yesterday was 'Er Indoors Uncle's funeral, so we started the celebrations of his life about 2:00pm, then continued until closing time at the local social club, (about mid-night) !

 

Stell all the way. Cans then pints !

 

Nothing like a good old drop of 'amber wife-beater' !

It was just like the old Works Christmas Parties of years ago when at least one person takes liberties with all the free booze, and then upsets both sides of the family by becoming abusive !

'Er Indoors wisely decided it was time to repair to our local Social Club, where I ALLEGEDLY & APPARENTLY well and truly verbally abused my son-in-law !

 

I remember nothing, but apparently a 'Good time was had by all', EXCLUDING our youngest daughter and son-in-law.

 

Adds a totally new light on the old Mother-in-Law jokes !

I woke up on Saturday with the worst hangover ever, after throwing up in the morning I then spent the journey from Jersey to Guensey on a very bumpy ferry with my head down the loo ..... to add to spending my flight back from Prague with head down loo as well.
