Great New signing? No, this is not a great new signing, its a BRILLIANT, FANTASTIC, AND AMAZING signing for your club. Paul Gothard is the best thing since sliced bread and we wish him every success at Billericay.

Just like to say well done to ALL involved in this new signing...Paul is a top notch keeper from our encounters with him in the past...Think it fair to say Mcartney never recovered from the error at Wealdstone, and anyone who has ever played in goal knows that if you make a mistake it predominantly leads to a goal, therefore you need to bounce back quickly...He will learn that for the future - Paul will no doubt have learnt that in the past, hence his record..All the best Paul.

A Fantastic signing Paul Gothard is a class goal keeper is still only 29 seems to of been around for years.

All BTFC supporters know how good he is as when we come up against him always plays out of his skin.

Welcome aboard Paul and well done to Justin and the main club in securing a top class keeper.

I'm "over the(blue)moon" about this signing. Not only have we got hold of a quality player who will give confidence to those in front of him, it also shows that the powers that be are not slow when it comes to making the big (and in my view correct) decisions.

McCarthy is a youngster who will come again but unfortunately goalkeeper is not a position you can compromise with.

The only worry is how that carrot crunching, tractor driving, keep-it-in-the-family man got to hear about it.

Welcome aboard Paul!

I can't think of a better keeper we could have signed, didnt realize he was so young though! Mind you with all that praise ringing in his ears let's hope it doesn't have the same effect as the curse of the "player of the month" and he drops a clanger in the first five minutes !!! Welcome aboard and good luck Paul G...
