LGFC 1-3 ETFC

Leverstock Green down to nine men.

The black fella that came on at our place scored but later got a straight red, apparently for retaliation.

Shortly afterwards their captain went for a second yellow.

Seemingly we're managing to keep our discipline tonight!

FT

LGFC 1-3 ETFC

Francis on for Smith late on.

Very brief match report from what I've been told!

ETFC came out strongly and finally made some chances pay, with the LGFC defence being charitable at times.

Second half LGFC had a go but the two sendings off meant we coasted home in the end.

Much tougher prospect v AFC Sudbury on Sunday I'd imagine.

Looking forward to it already!

First half Town were coasting.Great goals from Everitt and Nyman.

The rest of the first half was dominated by the thugish behaviour of Leverstocks No10. He could have recieved two red cards in the half, but managed to come out of it with a solitary booking.

Even though the No10 didn't come out for the second half,it was obvious that Leverstock looked at how weak the ref was and decided the only way back into the game was to rough the Town players up. Any sort of run with the ball through the centre of the pitch by a Town player was met with a studs in lunge,a forearm smash,or a rugby tackle.

The first Leverstock player to be sent off ,was only given his marching orders, because the geriatric lino came onto the field to tell the ref to send him off, even though the ref was much closer to the incident. The second Leverstock player was sent off after recieving a second booking (for his sixth bookable offence).I believe the weakness of the ref created most of the mayhem last night. The players again realised it was by the seond half that it was 'anything goes' football. If the Leverstock players could run as fast for the ball as they do to join in a melay, the'd be a good team.By the second half the Town fans were singing 'Park team' at Leverstock by the end of the game ,the cry was 'pub team.

Regarding how Town played. If your missing 5 or 6 players, its going to affect you,and it did. Smith is knowere near fit,Snowden cleary should have started (but we didn't have much choice). Everitt was back on form though, and Rudi also played well.

As Snowden and Brotherton won't be fit for Sunday, i hope that Campbell will be alright.

Finally, WHY did Jim bring Finch on in the first half, instead of bringing Francis on.? Our rhythm went after that substitution. I've seen Busby Finch play on many occasions, and i've never seen him contribute anything to a game.He marks the defender(instead of the other way round) and never looks like scoring.

Also, where were Kintenge and Bernie last night. Are they injured as well.
