Well then, nothing on the telly and time to reply properly....so let's take all of old ferret scrotum's nonsense point by point.....<p>"Those that have and will walk away are not true Slough fans-you should all be there through thick and thin"

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...this hypocritical ******** from someone who readily admits he often goes to see Fulham instead of watching Slough....<p>"To really think that the supporters club could run Slough F.C. is in my opinion a farce-for one reason only, all these so called supporters are leaving now because the standard of football has dropped-and with no real money it would drop further"

No real money???? There is no real money now....does nothing penetrate your skull? The players aren't being paid, bills aren't being paid, the staff sren't being paid, you name it - it isn't being paid.....any properly run organisation could do better....Deaner and his mob couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.

The standard of football is only partially the reason why people stay away....as others have said, many long term fans stuck it out last season with all the problems and hoped that things would change....they haven't. No lessons seem to have been learned whatsoever, why should people put up with being treated like **** and expected to pay good money to get nothing but dross in return.<p>"I don't want to see my Slough playing park football"

"Your" Slough? Do you know something the rest of us don't....or is it only "your" Slough when you're not watching Fulham? You just carry right on living in your little fantasy world 'cos soon there won't be any Slough playing any football anywhere.......<p>"And to Louise and all her cohorts,if we are successful again-please stay away"

Is there no end to your small minded arrogance? You really are totally lacking in imagination aren't you.....? If it annoys you Colon, I'll follow Slough home and away and hope I get a seat next to you on the coach....

" To think that the supporters club could run Slough, is...a farce"<p>Perhaps not so much of a farce that if even half the rumours are true, a number of players only agreed to play against Aylesbury because the supporters club paid their wages. A more correct statement might be "To think Deaner can run a football club is a farce".

Dear Ted and Louise cohorts in disress, yes I do watch Fulham from time to time, but having watched Slough for over 40yrs(and not just 5 minutes)I think i've paid my dues, but am willing to carry on paying them. You really think this is the first time Slough has ever been in trouble as a football club, well your wrong and yet people stuck around and didn't talk of jumping ship as you readily do.I have stood on th terraces with only a handful of people and also with 9,000-so yes we have had good crowds and dwindling ones before-none of this is new.

True supporters would remain loyal regardless of the fools in charge,if for no other reason than the club should be bigger than all of us-certainly no one would be interested in buying a club with no support.

So Louise instead of trying all the time to prove, that you are what your not(ie:clever)turn your telly of and get some fresh air,and some fresh ideas.

Colin, you freely use the word cohort. If you knew its meaning, you would realise that you are arguing against yourself.<p>Cohort means a tenth part of a Roman legion. A roman legion had at least a thousand members, so cohorts means hundreds. <p>So your posting is telling hundreds of people that they are wrong, and that you don't want them back.<p>Even Baldric's cunning plans would be better at increasing attendances than that.

dear local Ted-as your fond of twisting words-you must also know that in the English language many words have more than one meaning-doh! i'll explain for you,in the sense of my letter- refering to cohorts has absolutely nothing to do with Romans(though it is pleasing to think that you can use a dictionary/or know a bit of history)more to do with people of similar views etc.

hope i have been of some help to you in your persuit of a better understanding of words in context.

Aberdeen Ted--I've got no problem with your views, in fact if you read what what I've said, at no stage have I said I'm not going to come any more. What I have said is that others have reached that conclusion, and more will do so. This leads me to conclude that the club has no future with Deaner and Browne. I have some sympathy with the arguement that to turn up only encourages them, but I can't bring myself to stop. Each week I hope for good news. One thing is certain--the atmosphere has totally gone, some weeks you'd see more life at a funeral.<p>To Colin, read my first posts in this thread. In it I say "Roll on next season, hopefully without Deaner and Browne". Does this indicate that I'm not a supporter any more? Or perhaps it is open to the Colin Evans dictionary and really means " I'm off to Pluto to marry Margaret Thatcher" Try looking up the meaning of mysoginist, Dinosaur, dead wood, **** stirer, prejudiced, and "I died in the war for people like you". You won't need a dictionary--just look in the mirror.

Having read the numerous and varied comments on all of this, all I can say I have supported Slough for over forty years, home and away and I do not intend stopping now. You either support your team or you do not. Ok the owners and managment leave a lot to be desired, but a least we have a team unlike so many supporters who have seen teams fold over the years. I take that optomistic view that the Mr Deaner and his associates are just a passing phase and they will bet bored with their "boys toy" and go and ruin someone elses lives, hopefully before I have to take up shopping with my wife as a year round Saturday afternoon passtime! So please keep supporting the Rebels otherwise the Council and potential buyers will take the view that it is not worth keeping the club going.
