Considering the ages of some of the triallist youngsters playing for Slough, 16 and 17 year olds, according to Roy, I thought they were brilliant, definitely not overawed. One had a young girl friend in the stand who told us that they had come to see if they could get into the Slough First Team! Wonderful, that's the sort of spirit we want! Best of luck to them! As for Parkin, some good saves (and some luck, but you make luck!), a team well led by Nick Gyoury, and a sterling defensive game from Ryan and Andrew Deaner( yes, as Gary says, awsome), as well as Nick. Good performances from Matty and Danny, the only disappointment was Seedal - hopefully he will come through this patch.

 

But definitely an interesting and entertaining game, even if Eddie did not bring himself on! Oh, and some wonderful support behind the goal there, put Windsor's fans to shame on their own ground. Really glad I went!

come to think of it, spend the dosh of buying a (small) group sense of humour by-pass.... you lot have got to be the most miserable buggers known to God's green earth. It was the capital league and we were there to have a laugh. If we'd been beaten 5-0 we really would not have given a toss though I expect you and the other rentboy would have been on here gloating.

How very sad! You even insult your own players with an attitude like that.

There were various officials from your club who cared, one even left the stand and went to the touchline to offer encouragement and support. (And a bit of blunt guidance!) But it mattered to him.

Alright it was the Capital League, but all the players of both teams were making a great effort and the least they deserve is that you support and encourage them, if you go along. If all your team deserves is that you publicly declare your didn't give a "****", I wouldn't blame them if they put their effort at the same level.

And you wonder why you don't get more support!

I'll be chanting on my drive back from the north - I'm pretty gutted really to be missing the match but sometimes there are more important things to do and seeing my pal is one of them. I'm taking him a Slough scarf which I will insist on hanging up in his room and taking down his Man U one. Hope you had a safe joureny back Tuffley. I'm pretty sure you'll be coming back more often than you were saying last night

The Capital League atmosphere is just great no pressure and great banter ! keep it up you Rebel Fans....

 

71 paid entrys not bad ...(mostly Slough Supporters I guess ?? ) with the others ! about 100 for a capital league game is outstanding !

 

Well done Slough ....

Also thanks for sending your (thanks to our supporters!) who have covered the turnstiles and tea bar with a new roof covering !! during the close season... just a shame a few more of you did not help during the close season....

 

Don't get me wrong , I personally think the back room staff do a fantastic job for your club ! but at times it would be great if a few of your supporters did there bit too... after all you have a ground and club ...we haven't and thats why you should not be so cleaver with your remarks about money owed , until you know some of the facts. Its bloody difficult enough to keep things going... for both clubs and we are trying to work together to ensure we both help each other too. Your Chairman is a saint and we the Slough supporters realyy do appreciate his commitment for a stable relationship.

 

so please keep your flipent remarks to your self !
