Thanks for those who sent me updates (Gary and Glen) while I was away on holiday. Having missed the last three matches I have a few questions;

 

1) How bad is Veli's injury and what is it?

2) How's Matt Miller's injury coming on?

3) What did Shephard look like over the last two games - any good?

4) Is this Matt Murphy any good and what type of player is he?

1) Ankle/leg, one to two weeks out

2) Miller should be starting on Wednesday against Windsor in the Capital League clash at Stag Meadow

3) Looked quite good I thought. Good cover for Wilko, although perhaps not quite 100% match fit/sharp

4) Attacking midfielder/forward. Won his fair share in the air on Monday and looked quite useful in bursts. Will do well when match fit I think.

I was quite impressed by Sheppard. He didn't look like much in the friendlies and I thought he was no better that Crab People or Super Lee, but his performance on Saturday suggests there is more to come and is a welcome addition to the squad

True, but even so he never looked all that good. Wish him well though if he's back at Farnborough

Matt Murphy certainly has a passing resembalance to Big Andy. The new smurf does seem to have a quality touch and ability to read the game well but needs time to get match fit. As I said elsewhere there is promise for a cracking partnership with Hodgey.

 

I suspect Veli's injury may well prove to be a Slough Town "two weeks." Hope I am proved wrong.
