3-3 was the final score in an entertaining match, which when we tried , we dominated. Unfortunately, we didn't try that hard for most of the match, and to be honest, if we can't beat Windsor, theres little hope for us. We scored first-an excellant solo effort by Roach. They soon equalised after Wilkinson lost the ball just outsidec the area. Windsor went 2-1 up--McPherson at fault (I think), and Bartley equalised- he had a clear 5 seconds to shoot, used them all and eventually toe poked it over the line. Our 3rd a Bartlets second was a good one-scored with 2 minutes left. 60 seconds later Zepherin came out and missed the ball completely, gifting Windsor the equaliser--close calls at either end meant the result was in doubt til the end.<p>Zepherin was left sitting in the goal a good 3/4 minutes after all the other players had left the field--I think most Slough fans felt he could stay there until this evening, but to me blaming him for the result was unfair--OK he cocked up big time, but its a team game. If he's not good enough, blame the manager for picking him. He tries--I'd rather blame the regular couple of players who get selected every match, but put no effort in. I think we all know who I'm talking about.

Roach's goal was absolute class. Receiving the ball just inside our half, he took on three or four Windsor players before shooting past the keeper with an equally good finish, just inside the near post.<p>Bartley's second was also a good finish, off the inside of the post and right the way across the goal before hitting in the side netting to the relief of the crowd.<p>Funny thing is, despite playing so poorly (again), all the players are clapped off. Why?

I will agree with ted on this one. It is unfair to blame the keeper for todays result. OK he does seem prone to [****!!****]-ups and giving the ball away but if we had tested their keeper a bit more their third goal may not have mattered. Also you could equally blame macca or wilkinson.

Think you are being a bit harsh Gary . I don't think we played that bad at all and at times we did play attractive football . To be fair to Windsor they were improved from last time and even though we are a better side they have something we lack at times . Desire .

Even though Zepherin cocked-up big time , he knew it and him slumped on the goalpost at the end showed it . He remimds me a bit like Grobalaar , can be good but prone to a howler . What is it with Slough Town and goalkeepers ?

Today was strange. <p>If your going to blame Zepherin, then you have to blame Wilko & Macca as well for the other goals. All three goals could have been avoided. Saying that Zeperin got caught out earlier in the match and twice at Ford. He should learn from his mistakes. He is an entertainer however!<p>What annoyed me today was the chances we wasted - there were loads. <p>Ullers, Gilkes and Bartley missed excellent chances in the second half and their 16 year old keeper was excellent and kept them in the game first half after saving Gallagher's free kick, Ullers volley from the edge and a brave save from Roach.<p>Windsor have improved. I did not think we were poor today, but we were not that good either - We did OK. We do sometimes however p*ss about with it in the middle of the park and take too long to get the ball forward. We needed to get Veli into the game more today.<p>It's not all bad news - there is nothing to be scared of in this league and apart from the top three there is nobody better than us I believe and with a few new faces next season we will do well if the off the field problems are not there.<p>But we wait to see...<p>Match report now online BTW

Good points Chris but what is also encouraging is that for the first time for as long as I can remember we have 3 YES 3 (!) players who have 10+ goals to their name this season . If Ullers can have the same effort as Nev and Michael Bartley and Michael having a better 1st touch , if we keep all 3 for next season it could b interesting .

One thing most of us seem to agree on is the teams lack of fight in many matches. Can anyone put together a good arguement as to why next season will be any different?<p> Another season of struggling against teams that lack skill, but make up for it with commitment, does not bear thinking about, but seems likely to happen. Can anyone cheer me up with rumours of Browne's contract expiring, the ground announcement being made (either two and a half years ago, or after 22nd January), or anything else that might indicate things are changing?

Ted - With the manager we have and the problems that we always have doesn't help our confidence. The players we have really should do better . It wont change while we have Browne in charge or Deaner not having money .<p>Chris - You are mad ! 400 seemed 'about' right and looking around the ground when the goals were scored from both sides i'd say we had 200 of our own fans . Before anyone questions this , not a lot really cheered when they scored and i reconised a lot of our fans down the sides .

Just saw the report on the site, and i'm a little confused. Do we have a Michael and Mark Bartley on the books or is this a mistake?

Matt, not meaning to sound rude, but you run a website and should know Slough have two Bartleys! They have both been with us for some time aswell! Mark is the younger brother, both pictures on the Park Life website
