Do I fancy our chances Tuesday night not if we have a ref like this again!

In the FA Challenge Cup the referee who officiated the first game also does the replay!!

Also with the comments as regards to local officials, the FA appoints referees from neutral counties. Thats why a Middlesex or Hertfordshire official would not be appointed for this fixture.

One good thing is that at least we are only guaranteed another 90 minutes of poor officiating. He doesn't do injury time!

The ref - maybe it appears that so many ETFC supporters complain about the refs; because there are so many of us on this msg board? I am sure we have the same proportion complain about cr&p officals as any other club.

The pitch - well the grass is still long due to technical difficulties; but R&F will come up trumps, remember there are others folks giving up there free time/days off to assist - and as ever I am sure that the "magic fairies" would appreciate more help

Leversock - don't see us arranging any pre season friendlies with them!

what was the gate yesterday?

Our referee is off on his hols so we will have a different one for the replay.

As we are a Herts club, playing away to an Essex one I would expect the FA to appoint someone from Cambridgeshire or Suffolk. We had London FA officials for the first game.

Thats the road i meant the A414 (hemel/st Albans road) which leads to the A41.

The way you said is probably a quicker way to get there from Enfield. The point i was making was that Leverstock and Aylesbury are both on the A41. Thats certainly the road you would use to get from Aylesbury to Leverstock (and vice vera).

I would be very surprised if the FA sent a London or Middlesex official to your replay, but you never know!!

I mean there is always a chance you could end up with a local official, but lets be honest, does it really matter. I don't honestly believe that just cause a referee is local he's going to be biased.

I know ETFC fans were unhappy with Mr Downes at Wroxham last year because he lived so close to the ground, but he is from the RAF FA so he has no local county allegience.

I remember going to Newport IOW for an FA Trophy replay on a Tuesday night with Enfield and the referee was Mr Wade who hailed from the IOW!!!

The best one at EFC, was the ref we used to regulary get from 'Bush Hill Park'. I wonder how many away teams realised that Bush Hill Park is actually in Enfield.

Ah yes, Mr Vosper, now he was a character. Apparently he went to Yeovil the year Enfield were going for the title with them. Apparently it was quite comical when it was announced "your referee today is Mr Vosper from Bush Hill Park and the 2 assistants are from Enfield" How the carrot crunchers boo'd!! Yet the referee lived nearer Southbury Road than the Assistants.
