Was recommended it by Amazon a few months back, but at the time had had my hands burnt by several other bands - The Bandits, 80s Matchbox etc. - that I'd never heard and bought anyway, so decided against.

 

£8.49 on Amazon.

In fact they do this thing on The Amp where two bands who might sound similar or be associated have their hits played (a pair of hits), they had the Libertines and the Clash and they also had Killers and the one and only Duran Duran

We listened to the Killers in the car. I'd say they sounded more early Jesus & Mary Chain and The Cult, with a bit of Soft Cell/early-Mode chucked in.

 

i.e. Very 80's gothic, with some gay early-80s electro-pop chucked in.

 

Hmmm.. on second thoughts, am I getting them mixed up with the Postal Service??

 

I think the Killers were J&MC/The Cult, and the Postal Service were gay Soft Cell/DM.
