The last time we conceded six goals in a game was when we lost 6-1 at Dartford in a Southern League Cup tie on 12.12.89.

 

The last time we let in six at home was during the last Thanet United season - 88/89. We lost 6-1 at home to Poole on 19.11.88.

 

The last time we lost by six clear goals was in a game at Cambridge City on 29.3.86 - 6-0 that day.

 

You have to go back to 1983 for our last 6-0 home defeat - Thanet were thumped by Crawley at Hartsdown on 31.12.83.

 

Here's a good one - the last time MARGATE lost 6-0 at home was on 13.1.73. Our opponents that day were Spurs in the famous FA Cup tie !

 

From what I can work out, last night was only the 10th time in the club's entire history that we've conceded six at home.

 

Last night was the biggest defeat we've ever suffered under Chris Kinnear.
