Mushroom Supporters

Was there a supporters club meeting last week and if so can we have a brief report.

Would it be nice for a change if the clubs board of directors tried to give the supporters a lift in anouncing a positive plan for next season on and off the pitch. Instead it will no doubt go all quiet through the summer until two days before kick off in August.

I am afraid Rebel supporters are treated just like mushrooms fed with s--- and kept in the dark.

Slough Town have lost near on 75% of its support over the last three years, but still the majority of clubs in this division envy our support.

Perhaps it is time to do an Enfield in time for next season if the present set up are no longer really interested.

Plans need to be made now that is unless something is happening behind the scenes.

Perhaps the supporters club can fill us in on the latest news?

Sorry to sound sarcastic but as a couple of players were heard to say recently - "We really enjoy playing for Slough Town but it is the worst run club we have ever pulled a shirt on for"

I am beginning to agree with them, perhaps its not all down to Steve Browne. If he or the players have not been paid for over two months how on earth can you be fully motivated.

Something must be done now.

Whilst Browne is not totally blameless, so much of the blame and anger from the fans aimed at him, should be put in one step higher up and aimed at Martin Deaner.
If this man could correctly run the club, the players would have no 'money gripes' and would be able to focus properly on the games in hand, and have no reason not to regularly attend training.
A report regarding the STSA meeting should be available soon from Chris Sliski, with some changes being lined up in the STSA structure. More to follow when Chris S has it (He says in hope!)

Spot on...........both accounts, Martin Deaner shouldn't be allowed to run another football club EVER!And yes the fans vote with their feet and their money, they know things are incorrect on the commercial front, the situation can be redeemed, but only if Deaner moves on and allows someone to takeover as soon as possible, and he goes back to his own little dreamworld...

We are all aware of the way that the club is run. It is time that we stopped hoping for someone to step in and run the club for us.......shouldn't we be looking at forming a Supporters Trust and look at running the club for ourselves, as Bournemouth and others did ?????

Thanks for responding Chris- I think that you are a good example of the kind of committed supporter that could help to run the club far better than any member of the Deaner family or anybody else for that matter.
I appreciate that we need help and guidance to investigate the Supporters Trust idea futher at the moment. Don't Aylesbury have a Trust ? If so, does anbody have a contact there.......I think their trust is called the 21st Century Ducks.....but I may be wrong !!!!!

Gianfranco, the trust idea has been thoroughly investigated and looked into by the STSA but if the football club does head down that route we would have to find another ground to play at and there are some complications with the lease I believe, so it would put us back to a similar situation to what we are in now.
