Seems we'll do train. Fenton is not going, and beside, doubt anyone else will have space for the three of us.

 

He's just sorting out a route which won't involve going too far into London. Muttered something about Silverlink!!

1734 St.Albans - West Hampstead Thameslink arr 1750

 

Walk just down the road to West Hampstead Silverlink station, I'm

finishing a hour early so I'll be on the 1800 from Willesden and I'll

meet you on the train at 1808

 

1808 West Hampstead - Highbury and Islington arr 1824

 

Victoria Line to Tottenham Hale and then either

 

1846 dep arriving at 1915

1849 dep arriving at 1929

 

 

Home:

 

2142 or 2208 departures from Stortford

 

The first is slow, the second fast both connect at Tottenham Hale in

time for the 2301 from Kings X Thameslink arrived back in St.Albans

at 2323.

 

Let me know if this sounds OK?

'Fraid not, mate. It's a return to Bishops Stortford - about £13-odd.

 

Pisses me off that it's two hours to get there, via London, and £13 by train, when it's only just up the road.

Walk to Hertford East station (4 mins)

Train to Bishop's Stortford

Then as per website...

 

Takes about an hour and a half.
