I've left my copy at home today, and there was a CD I fancied buying by some 22-year bird who's doing some folk music.

 

There's an article somewhere during the first few pages. There's a pic of her sitting in a field of flowers, and some buff about the "New Folk Revolution".

 

I just wondered if anyone had a copy to hand, as I can't remember her name, and like I say, I wanted to order the CD today.

They're more 'jazzy' too, whereas this bird is doing a bit of the old folky stuff!!

I've got some Kathryn Williams. It's not bad, quirky, lights down red wine muzac.

 

Colin, I've got Hejera [sp] by Joni M. Quite sophisticated, as you'd expect from her. What's her debut one like?

Dunno mate - only ordered it half an hour ago!!

 

I've heard one or two of her songs from that era - 1967 - and they're great!

 

Urge For Going, her debut single but sadly not on the debut album, is a terrific song. Just the lady herself accompanied by her guitar.

 

What year is Hejera from? I saw that on Amazon too.

 

I own Clouds and Blue also - both great albums too.

 

Not heard of Virginia Astley - she doesn't have a copper-topped brother from Newton-Le-Willows, perchance!!?
