You seem to forget we were crap for 70 minutes going 0-3 down thanks to that big tart back in goal. In the first half Maidenhead opened up our defence many times, whereas we only had one shot (Gilkes free kick) on target. Maidenhead won because they were more committed and better prepared. I know the Ref. was crap the pitch attrocious, but if we had put in the effort and drive we showed in the last 20 mins earlier we may have deserved something. As usual when it comes down to grinding out a result we are not up to it, some of the team showed willing~ Hawthorne, Bartley, Stott and Howard but some Ullathorne, Gilkes and Winston were only passengers until the last few minutes. As for the manager the result obviously ment nothing to him, he could'nt even get of his [****!!****] to encourage or bollock the team.

Have to say I agree with Dick. It is no use performing for twenty minutes only, especially when 3-0 down by that time. Saying that there were some hard-working performances throughout the match. McPherson, Daly and Stott at the back were committed, but the two I was really impressed with were Hawthorne and Bartley. I am not a big Bartley fan but he worked his socks off last night, having to do most of the running and holding up front as the midfield were nowhere. Hawthorne was the only one of the midfield who seemed to realise that they at to chip the ball out of the s**t hole in the centre circle instead of trying to pass it out. For seventy minutes Ullathorne, Gilkes and Winston were anonymous, wimping out of tackles and trying little flicks on a pitch that needed good control. Winston did give it some fight near the end but we needed it for 90 minutes (he only seemed to want it when he was played in his right position). In terms of the refereeing, how did they end the game with 11 men. Number 5 should have gone twice, first for a two footed challenge on Stott when he was booked and then somehow escaping action when he brought down Bartley as the last man. Number 3 should have gone for his elbow on Winston but yet again he was only booked and then number 7, who gave the penalty away, escaped any punsihment whatsoever. And finally, what was up with Barras tonight. Although he was named among the subs I never once saw him (or Mark Bartley for that matter) on the pitch or on the bench. Or they are contracted!....... Or they waited six months last year and the year before and the year before that, to get paid! same old scenario just the year changes.........could this be the year that there is no money at the end of the rainbow? Or perhaps certain individuals are getting paid some weeks and others the other weeks? Or he's only doing part payments, oh what a lovely man to work for? Or he doesnt know how to run a business profitably to generate funds to pay people.... Or he's a buffoon pretending to be wealthy enough to run a club of STFC size and stature......Or he is conning the league and more importantly the fans?
