Abbey's 100% record beginning to wobble?

Abbey only just beat Burnham Ramblers 3 - 2 yesterday. Only just beat....3-0 up a scrambled goal, then a last minute penalty. Perspective I guess.

Mind you Portway and O'Reilly will cause a few problems for teams this season which should give Ramblers a better season this year.

 

I think your frightened that you have local opposition and are trying the Wenger/Fergie tactics!!!

you certainly do!! we are going to switch the game to your place this season where we do get a bit more luck!

 

to be fair cleggy it was a slight wobble, we did not play well at all and did not deserve our 2-0 lead at ht. we dug in and come away with 3 points which we are happy with. a draw would of been a fair result but we will take all 3!

OK, the season is a marathon and not a sprint but, as I have said before, just let us enjoy it...

I understand that some of our lads met Tim O'Riley on Saturday evening and Tim was full of praise for the Abbey. He said they thoroughly deserved the win....!

i know tim and was speaking to him after the game. he is a nice bloke.

 

who is there other forward portway?? a good experienced player, used all his experience to win plenty of free kicks and a very dubious pen!

 

as for the town that is a great result! 5-2 against a (from what i see last season) very good eton manor side.

 

any manor people what is quinny thinking about?? i read on your web site but was not really clear? he is a very good player!

st the gk that let in the corner v you last season has left. John Hickman is a top goal keeper honestly he really is.

 

also his claim to fame he is one of three goal keepers to save a penalty from John Wark!! it was in the FA Cup a few years ago!

 

ST i see that you boys played exceptionaly well. i see your barkingside game and thought you were good going forward in that!
