The season starts with two big wins: Coventry Sphinx defeating Bolehall Swifts 6-1 and Meir KA defeating joint pre-season favourites Leamington FC 5-0.

 

Newly promoted and the other pre-season favourite Barnt Green Spartak could only draw with Castle Vale KH. The other two promoted teams Bloxwich Town and Pilkington XXX both won.

 

Last season's bottom club Alveston started this season with a win beating West Midlands Police 2-1.
