If you start trying to arrange fixture by the tv schedule we will get nowhere, what about Towners who support liverpool, there are a few,Im sure they would prefer that we didnt play tonight.

But Tuesday 7.45pm is the standard time for the Romford game.(as decided by the fixture list)

The St Ives game is going to have to be resceduled. So why make the game clash with a televised game, when it dosn't have too.????

ETFC have rearranged kick off's a couple times in the past to stop the game clashing with TV football. (Including one of the England games last season,if i remember rightly.)

What objections do you have to a 2.00pm kick-off.????

Most non-league supporters also support a professinal team. Maybe not every Town supporter also supports Spurs, but maybe not every paying customer at the Town is a single-minded fanatical die-hard Town-and no-one-else supporter either.

Some potential customers may be neatral or have a mild interest in their local club. It is very likely that such people will prefer to stay home and watch a premiership (or international) game on TV, or even go to that game.

Are we to send out the message "you can only come and watch Town if you support no-one else" with a kind of fundementalist religious fervour?

I sincerely hope not, and that our board has a more realistic and pragmatic business sense and dos everything in its power to attract PAYING CUSTOMERS, not put them off if they don't come up to standard.

It is definately a 3.00 Kick Off, which I am glad about. I did not want to be at Brimmo from 9.30 am thanks, coz thats what time we would have to be there to set up if its an early kick off.

All this fuss over just one game. Lets just get used to the idea that we are going to have to change some fixtures to a Sunday & get on with it, honestly some people. Doh!!!

Sky are now also showing games at 5.30 on Saturdays and 12.45 on Saturdays. If you take TV schedules into account you would have a great deal of problems arranging fixtures.

Spoken like a true Gooner.

Err Jim. If Town are playing at home, then its possible to watch all of the 12.45pm game, and all of the 5.30pm game.Even if we're playing away we can catch at least a half of each game.

Jilly, I know you do a great job, but are you saying that you would have to be at the ground at 9.30am for a 2.00pm kick off.?

If the club do insist of have a 3.00pm kick off. I estimate that it will cost the club between £150-£250 in lost gate revenue. If you calculate that between 25-50 (would-be) paying costumers will stay at home.

There is a resonable argument for NOT having the game at 3.00pm ......There IS NOT a reasonable an argument for having it at 2.00PM

Am i missing something, or what. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Ipswich Vs Millwall on Sky 1pm kick off, there's a reasonable argument for a 3pm kick off.

Italian Grand Prix, theres a 2nd argument.

1.Ipswich/Millwall is NOT a premiership match OR one involving our local premiership team.....NEXT.

2. Who watches the Grand prix any more... Even Bernie ecclestone reckons its dull as ditch water at present....NEXT

I said 'a reasonable argument' <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

More of less 9.30am, by the time we have set up the Boardroom, sorted out the Players Food, set up the Tea Bar, sorted out the Mascots, welcome visiting officials etc, there is not a lot of time left.

Thats just Me & Jess, let alone what Dave F (Safety Officer) has to do.

You are quite right, but as we both Groundshare, we have to take the rough with the smooth. What I don't like is we tend to get more of the rough!!

Let the wise cracks commence then.
