Eton Manor 2 Enfield Town 5

Enfield Town comprehensively demolished Eton Manor with a workman like performance that all Town fans present were rightly proud.

Billy Cove led Eton Manor out.

The new look town was Hall, Wright (60), Aseidu, Snowden (73), Campbell, Hall, Brotherton, Hall, Kitenge(73), Negus, Nyman, Riley(73), Geraghty, Baldwin(73), Francis, Masala (60)

After 1 minute and 10 seconds Carry Wright slotted the ball home after the luckless keeper fumbled the ball 0 – 1.

After 12 minutes Deano Nyman crossed the ball for Rudi Hall to slot home. 0 – 2.

On 37 minutes Deano was brought down well into the box NO Penalty but one injured player. Clearly a foul to Town fans but nothing given.

On 40 minutes Bernard Asiedu picked the ball up deep in his own half and ran the ball in to score a lovely goal. 0 – 3. A fair reflection on the first half. Asiedu was booked for taking his shirt off to celebrate.

On 50 minutes Rudi Hall had a simple tap in 0 – 4.

On 58 minutes Rudi Hall hit a screamer for the top corner forcing Karl Prince to pull off the save of the match.

On 60 minutes Masala was brought on for Wright.

65th minute Eton Manor scored as Town went to sleep. 1 – 4.

68th Minute Brad Brotherton came sliding in just to miss a clean contact to score.

69 minutes Matty missed a good chance.

70 minutes Kitenge missed an ambitious lob from outside the box.

73 minutes Eli Kitenge looped the ball over the unlucky keeper. 1 – 5. JC then changed the formation taking Snowden and Kitenge off for a rest and bringing on Riley and Baldwin

81st Jacquo Masala tried looping the keeper from the halfway line and only just missed.

In the 85 minute for reasons best known to the Referee he awarded a penalty to Eton Manor and Billy Cove slotted home 2 – 5. Mr Pope just a tad inconsistent in the awarding of Penalties but otherwise no particular complaints about the officials.

Manor aren’t a bad team just Town were much better than last season!

Can't complain at 5 - 2 can we. What an all round very good performance.

I must elaborate on our second goal.

We were attacking and lost possession. EM attacked with a one on one situation which was foiled by a tremendous tackle. The ball was swiftly played up field where we went on to score.

All this took place within 60 seconds.

Bernard's goal reminded me of John Barnes in Brazil!

Over to you Steph.

The Town report would be online by now, but I've just had a crashed computer and lost my page - even the one I saved. To say I'm p$ssed off is an understatement.

Oh well, here I go again...

NOn-League UK crashed on me first time (and I had to do it twice). The air was blue here - I think I'd have been booked!

A grand day out all round. It only rained while I was actually on the train, so I didn't get wet. Town won. Asiedu's and Kitenge's goals were outrageous. The Anchor (Wetherspoon) turned out to be a very nice pub selling decent beer from Mole Brewery and B&T at £1 per pint. What more could I want?

What s great day out

Lunch in the Nags Head @ J28 of M25

(poor part of the day traffic on M25 after lunch and dropping wife and daughter @ lakeside!)

good game

poor ref and assistant - but that is to be expected now; at least the lino on the "old stand" side had a good sense of humour.

great goals.

can we keep it going???

It's okay, I just wrote it all again from memory and I took your 70 seconds as official time. I don't agree on some of your other timings though!

I think I got it from the TOTE team who are far more accurate about these things than I!

Good to see the Cyclops this season we miss you and bro. You are very welcome anytime!
