Hornchurch add to strike force

 

 

Hornchurch are pleased to announce the signing of 24 year old Wayne Purser from Leyton Orient

 

Purser begun his career at QPR without breaking through to the first team squad, but then established himself at Barnet with his pace and ability to play wide-right or centre-forward catching the eye. He made almost 100 appearances for Barnet, and following his debut in the England National Game XI, was signed by Leyton Orient in an £18,000 deal in March 2003.

 

He went onto make a further 54 appearances for the O's scoring a hat-trick on his league debut. He also netted a goal in Orients first game of this season.

 

Wayne has signed for Hornchurch for an undisclosed fee, and will be in the squad to face Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday in the Nationwide South.
