Funny...nay, frightening experience this afternoon.

 

Some mad woman tried to get me to listen to Richard Marx...[Marcks?]

I'm probably being a music snob here...but I nearly puked.

The music was the aural equivalent of spit dribbling down an old woman's chin.

 

Apparently I am narrow minded.

 

made her listen to Kraftwerk [of all things] and she dug it...

Couple of quick questions for the musicologists, please....

 

- Is Richard Marcks/Marx some sort of icon for the "theologically-obsessed" among us...like U2 and Cliff?

 

- should I stop letting the Jehovahs into my house?

We never let them into our house. We alsways say when they cme round that we are blood donours or we like Christmas and Birthdays!!!!!

 

Or if i'm in a very bad mood, i usually tell them to p1ss off? Why should i be respectful to them? They only come round when it's the Christian holiday seasons, they arn't respectful to our beliefs. I think coming round at such time is disrespectful to me.

 

They would let their own felsh and blood die because they wont let them have a blood tranfusion. It should never be an option. You would do anything to save anyone.

Just taken delivery of...get this...Jon & Vangelis' "The Friends of Mr Cairo".

 

Excuses first: As I hadn't had my nuts in for a few weeks my mind drifted back to my first proper sexual encounter...and the bird I was with used to play the song "I'll Find My Way Home" a lot [taped off radio]. P'raps it was a hint? Anyway...thought I'd get a copy for my collection just for memory's sake and dig it out round about xmas time, which was when the dastardly deed occured.

 

Well typical early 1980s production....

Has "State of Independence" on it. Didnt someone like Diana Ross or Diana Summer cover this?

 

Not my usual taste in music...NOT a fan of YES.....and in fact track 3 "Beside" sounds like Richard Marx!!!! Argggghhhhh!!!!

Yeah, HB told me so - he's along that way. He said they are a christian rock band and they have made as their word or something. It is because they were planned and made with love or something. I wern't impressed really, because whether or not you were created either by the act of love between 2 people in love, or on a one night stand, it is how you love that child that matters.
