In my opinion we were slightly unlucky. We must have had three or four good efforts cleared from the line.

 

The downside in my opinion was the way the defence backpedalled every time their (excellent) forwards got possession. Our defenders must be tighter to prevent them from turning and running clear.

 

Having said that, Margate closed us down very well and won the majority of the loose second balls, so I'd say they just about shaded it. Sam left their number 7 with lots of space and he dominated the midfield.

Who was no:7. Was it Keister? Excellent forwards eh? Does that include the so-called hard working but unable to score Che Stadhart. Sorry for having a pop at him again but am going on last years performances and so far havent had opportunity to see him play apart from friendlies. Assume, by comments made that he HAS improved his play so I will reserve judgement on his form for now. But has he scored yet, having said that?

He's exactly as bad as ever, missed a guilt-edged 1 on 1 on Monday and everybody knew when he was put through that he wasn't going to score, it was just a question of whether he'd a) get caught up by a defender or would have a shocking first touch. He went for option

 

Can't understand people who've actually been to the first two games praising him to the high heavens. He also missed a gilt-edge 1 on 1 in the Ashford friendly.

 

He's simply not up to it.

I pity the fool who back talks Che Stadhart SUCKER. he aint getting on no plane sucker, and i pity the fool who says he can find a sucker who gives more effort on the pitch sucker. suckers seem to forget his rich form last season towards the end, it only takes one goal and he's on his way...

Che is a legend, he is hardworking determind gutsy striker who gets dug in and has been 1 of the best players in both games imo..

Che finishing is at times poor but his work rate and determination is 2nd to none in the team he never lets oppostion defenders have a easy game.

He works his c'nuts of in every game i have seen him play that is why he has peeps that defend him if u cant see that then i really have no idear what games u are watching.

 

Che is the man sad some pees only wanna see some dude who scores 50 squilion goals they are so stupid they dont understand u need a player like che who creats the spaces and gives the opening's it must be rocky playing a bit naff if we are't scoring at the end of the day thats what rocky was brought in for and what he claimed he would do when we signed him not saying rocky is naff cuase we seen what rocky can do when his playing well.

Actually I think the Che problem isn't actually him but the service he's getting, if you pass him the ball when he's not in a open space his time & options are limited. Granted he missed a sure thing at Carshalton but how many times was he open on the left/running to open spaces & was not given the ball while his marker was nowhere to be seen?

 

As the season goes on I see Che becoming a regular scorer & as the team learn each others moves the service should improve, maybe Rocky should search him out rather than do all that Fandango footwork i've seen him do that quite frankly ain't cutting the mustard.

 

Give it a few more games till ya start critisizing anyone, don't forget its a new squad & these things take time!!!

Agree with Weezie above.Spot on in all aspects.

 

Also think Che and Rocky could do well together, albeit wish we had a 'Watson 'type to give variety upfront

Don't think I've seen Rocky pass to your man Che once so far - that should tell you something. He doesn't give him the ball and tries solo heroics instead because he knows what'll happen if he does give Che the ball. Rocky's not the only one who won't pass to Che unless he absolutely has to.

personally i yhink che has been outstanding so far ok so he misses a few but he works harder than any on the field and i think his determination will get him goals this season he could have turned his back and [***!!***] off but he stayed and i for one stayed loyal and spoke up for the dude ALL last season when most was slagging him off and constantly got on his bak and he started to show real promise towards the end of last season!! <img src="/images/graemlins/rasta.gif" alt="" />

Have to agree with cookie and Shathart. I would be delighted to be proven wrong and see him bag 20 goals, but can't see this happening. He doesn't seem to have the goalscorer's knack of being in the right places to score.

Never been a great Che fan, but thought he has done ok/better this season in games i have seen,and think he will get the goals for us.

 

We have to ask -who could do better,and then could we sign them/afford to sign them.

 

We have to be realistic and lower our expectations a bit this season.

 

we all have our opinions-most people disagree with me that Watson(wish we still had him) was good, and that imo Pulman is not up to scratch.

 

The Che /Rocky partnership will be ok.
