Saw in the NLP that Hornchurchs' player wages this year is 1.5 million. one point from six, obviously worth the money!!!

And they were pretty useless against WSM.

 

Think Hill is doing to them ,same as he did last season for Daggers-buy a lot of players past their sell by date;then change it all around after 6 months and start again.

Cant blame the players who sign and take the money.Who would'nt.

 

Alot is made of part time/full time, but if you have not got the basic ability ,you can stil do poorly.Equally an older full time pro ,can be less fit than a part time guy in mid twenties.

 

Think the relative on field success of Margate over last 3 years reflects the above

And apparently it was way of the mark to begin with!

see they have gone and signed another striker last night.

In fairness, a decent player this time-Purser.

 

Ironically at WSM ,their best player was a young sub striker called Charlie Taylor-probably cost nothing.Talish and like lightening.

 

 

Bet Siggy is impressed and when fit(yes-he is still unfit)will enjot playing in their reserves

[color:"blue"]I think part of the problem is that Garry Hill has too many players to choose from. Thus picking his best XI is difficult, in contrast we only have 17 to choose from and the best XI is fairly obvious (or at least 9/10 of them).

I remember that when we won promotion to the Conference we had a run of 10 games in 29 days and used a total of 12 players to start those games. A settled side is more likely to bring success.

Bad management to sign that many in first place;and no matter how much money you have, even worse Chairmanship to allow your manager to sign that many.

You could invest your money in the club to get better rewards.

 

Sorry, but i do not rate Hill at all.

 

Bad management last season and even worse this.

They will obviously improve and be in promotion contention, but that wil not make him a good manager
