You must have a lot of fat ba***rds in Gravesend if you think only 10 people can fit in it.

Quite the contrary. We have a lot of pikies and they're usually thin and malnourished... apart from the ones who take their tops off in the summer.

Official Letter from Conference.

Please note that the sale and consumption of alcohol must cease 15 minutes prior to the advertised kick off time of a fixture and remain in force until 15 minutes after the match has ended in all public areas within a stadium.

Within the next couple of months all 66 member clubs will be included in the legislation currently applicable to Premier and Football League clubs regarding Alcohol Sale & Consumption at Conference Stadiums.

The Conference will be a thirsty place this year !!

I can see it`s not the clubs fault but it`s going to cost us a lot of money, can`t see many people standing around for 15mins in the cold/rain after a match can you.

What if the clubhouse was made members only, would that be a way around it?

More discussion of this on Confguide, an interesting interpretation of the rule from this chap who is the Hereford clubhouse licensee.

"Right, just been to HUFC and read the letter from the Conference.

The letter does indeed state no sales/consumption in the Stadium. HUFC questioned it, and it appears that curtains are acceptable, though the Conf needs to clarify the situation."

Can we not get thicker curtains?

Although Hereford's bar has windows overlooking the ground, the entrance is outside of the turnstiles, whereas your bar (and ours) are inside.

I don't know if it makes any difference to who has the final say on when they can open.

i was talking to one of the old bill at the ground. aparently if you can see the pitch whilst you are drinking it is not allowed. so although having an entrance to the bar inside the ground is not a problem the fact you can see the pitch from the doorway is. the same goes for windows, or so the police man said.
