Second game of the season, and a much more deserved win than Saturday.

I thought we played some really good stuff, and easily could have won it by 4.

We looked much sharper than Saturday, but in all honesty Dover were really poor. Lost count of the number of unforced errors, and the keepers distribution was appalling. In fact the keeper had a complete mare all evening.

All in all i thought it was a very good performance, very encouraging, and a couple of goals for Hockton, who easily could have completed his hat-trick.

Looking forward to Saturday already

Let's not worry about the oppo mate..They were second favs for the league remember...Let's talk about us

We were outstanding last night - especially in the first half. We outclassed, outthought and outfought Dover all over the pitch. If we had won 4 or 5 no-one could have complained. This performance has set a benchmark and one we have to try and maintain throughout the season.

Well done to all the players and management. Keep it up.

you can only beat whats put in front of you and not only did we beat dover we played them off the park. Not wanting to get carried away but that was the best i have seen us play in a long time and was really enjoyable to watch. Hockers was outstanding but bradley allen deserves a mention as his work off the ball was superb. He spends most of the game telling others what to do and where to go and this can only help the lads around him. Just a shame he never got a goal for his rewards but im sure he is going to start chipping in with a few soon.

Thought Dorms and Leon were outstanding and there are early signs that our superior fitness is going to give is a massive advantage this season.

Well done to everyone.

It certainly was a most refreshing change to what we were watching last season, and can honestly say that for the first time in a long time I personally was confident that we would not concede after the first 15 minutes !! - Last season even if we (were) 2-0 up there was always a real element of fear as soon as a team got near our penalty area, and I think on the back of that Pat Sappers was outstanding last night, as was Henty,Mcsweeney and Trott...Always easy to applaud the strikers when they score but fact is "Don't concede, don't lose" - Big WELL DONE to ALL players last night.

I think it is very hard to pick any player who could be called man of the match. They all performed superbly and it was refreshing to see the midfield fight and hassle for any ball that was loose as well as put in tackles to dominate that area of the park. Quality of ball into the box and to the strikers was also good as was the defence...with only one hiccup in the second half (Trotty should consider himself a hero for stopping that goal).

I was also impressed with the attitude of the players, refusing to be drawn into the spoiling tactics of a team not adverse to making a meal of any lost challenge by going down as if they had just been polaxed and trying to hood wink the ref into booking the player deemed to be the offender (the incident that involved Ludo still makes my blood boil).

These ex Dr. Martin teams are tough opponents and from our previous history against such teams are very physical. We matched 'em, out fought 'em and out played 'em. A big well done to everyone, from Justin and Matt down to the players on the subs bench.

Magnificent effort last night.

Ok we will have some losses, and some disappointments this season, but if we continue to show that same level of Desire to win, tempo and effort each week...we WILL win the League.

That goes for both Players and Supporters.

The vocal support undoubtedly helped the players last night.

So all in all, a great Billericay Town FC performance. <img src="/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" />

Excellent performance and thoroughly deserved result.

Did anyone else notice that for Danny's second goal the keeper was running backwards away from the ball, any further and he would have been out the back of the net and watching with the blue army.
