Seems that Andy Douglass has joined Chelmesford City on loan with a view to joining them !

I'm a bit down to see Dougie leave as i don't think he was given a long enough short by Hillsy and i hope i'm wrong but our small squad could be our downfull this year !

Best of Luck Dougie !

He had the majority of last season to prove himself, yet failed to make a mark in many games at all. I was more surprised and disappointed to see Vinny go to be honest. There's no way Dougie was going to get a look in this season, but all the best to him at his new club, he came with a good reputation, hopefully he can rediscover his form.

To be honest you could see it coming. With all the new players coming in he would of only been a bit part player this year. Anyway good luck to him he deserves a regular fist team place if only for all the effort he put it last season.

It's a shame it's not going to be with Hornchurch.

steady on chaps...dougie is only off on a months loan at the moment...hillsy is keeping all his options open but the players need to be playing..

there is only gav that has actually gone..

vinnie is going to do well but lets remember he is two leagues below our level now....

my own view is that we should stop thinking about last year and get on with this year...I have seen enough already to know that this season will be successful and the best we have ever had....

and our squad aint small at all...we have 23 players full time and are still looking for a couple more...

see you all tuesday for a very tough game methinks...

I think it's a natural reaction to compare sides and players.

I honestlly don't beileve we will see Jamie, Bertie or Dougie again i hope i'm wrong but there you go.

We must except we are not undefeatable players will leave us and go on to better things as John Keeling has done , whose to say Vinnie won't score 30 goals and get taken on by a team in the conferance.

The squad is smaller than last year 'm not a big fan of a 'minimal' squad it's a big risk when it comes to injuries, if an injury crisis comes (god forbid) and we are without 7 or 8 players we are left with a squad of 16 !

To me it's a natural attitude to look forward but remember the past. I'm not negative i will be there shouting the team on and have confidence that we will be title challengers !

Does anyone read the messages...He is on loan...

Anyway, well done on Saturday. Apologies for not wishing you well before but I've been giving this internet thing a rest for a bit. Have yourselves a good season and best wishes for all the coming success.

If Dougie was so good, why did Borgy try about 16 players up front during the course of last season??? Like I said in my earlier post, the guy came with a big reputation and I'm sure eventually, somewhere, he'll come good. That said though, IF he does well at Chelmsford and comes back after a month or two on loan, then maybe he might get a look in. I agree with Nige and I think he probably has played his last game in Hornchurch colours.

Maybe your right but Georgie's downfull was not giving players the time to impress with a run in the first team. If a striker didn't score GB would drop him after one game and recall hime after two games, you have to give players a run in the first team to let them impress !

Remember Lloyd now gracing the squad of Swindon !

I agree though Dougie is very unlikely to be pulling on the club colours again.

Right you lot stop going on about players that have gone on loan, I miss them all But, I need a riverside for Saturday's Game who's going to volunteer .
