Fortunately for us (EFM), one of the Sutton fans on the Conf South forum has said it didn't come from EFM, but from another group of SACFC fans by the turnstile (?)

 

The flare was poor. Think we should wait til an evening game before we use the other ones, as it was a bit of a waste of £10.25. The one against Hendon a couple of years back looked quality.

 

Sutton chief steward was an officious [***!!***]. I was doing no harm to anybody sitting on the terrace drinking a bottle of alcopop, but instead he chose to challenge me and ended up creating a scene.

 

Shame we didn't get to inflate the Solar Airship.

Thornsey may recall that he and I were witness to a racist incident involving a City supporter there last season. I wonder if it is the same person.

 

The turnstile is at the far side of the ground from where we usually enter.

I confirmed on our board that I didn't think it was one of the EFM. It definitely happened though, there were many who heard it.

 

It's a shame because I've only heard that stuff once before at this level, away at Kettering. Still, if the guy does it again you should have a word for your own sakes!

 

As for the alcohol, I did turn a blind eye as such until one of your own fans complained about it. The chief steward was pretty fair I think as we are risking a big fine and really it could've been confiscated and returned to you at the end of the game, so all in all I think you're being a bit harsh!

 

Anyway, well done on the result, our missed chances in the first half cost us and your second half performance definitely deserved the points.

 

Good luck on the rest of your travels and see you in April when we visit you!

The F.A. are really serious about alcohol OUTSIDE of the club bars.

 

We were threatened, even at lowly Dorking a couple of seasons ago !

 

The fine can be severe !

Yes ! It IS the club that gets fined.

 

Hence the strict adherence (that's 'sticking', Claire) to the rules.

 

Surrey F.A. officials were told a couple of seasons ago, that their first priority on visiting grounds was to 'check for the consumption, (that's eating/drinking, Claire), of alcohol.
