Excellent. Just the start we needed, and a good performance by the sound of it.

 

I had a sneaking feeling we'd win, but Welling might be a sterner test on Tuesday. Still, with a bit of confidence now in the side, who knows?

 

I like the look of the midfield too, Parker and Southon in the middle, with Hann and Knight out wide. Goalkeeper and full-backs look sound, just the centre-backs and striker (excl. Lee Clarke) to sort out now.

Yep, a good result for the Saints, and a good all round performance. I was hoping that Parys Okai would play some part in the proceedings, but he wasn't even on the bench - anyone know if he was injured?

 

First league game of the season at home tomorrow - looking forward to it!

I think I may have answered my own question. Just looking at the squad details on the main site and there is no mention of Parys Okai. Has he left already, or is this table out-of-date?

I heard he wasn't available, although nobody said if this was a perminant thing, maybe Steve has noticed that Knight is also left footed <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
