South Bucks Council no doubt...the very same Council that basically said that there was no way that Slough were going to ever get more planning permission to develop on the part of the ground that is their borough... whereas Burnham... now that's a nice little town with nice people in it...despite the fact that most people in South Buscks probably work or shop in Slough..Sorry but local authorities attitudes toward Slough Town has (if anyone has read my posts here before will know) always been my sore point. It hanst changed since after Dennis james was ousted as Slough Borough council leader and shows no sign of changing now.
If there is anyhting in it for the Labour councillors personally then maybe they would consider it. I am not bitter towards these people, but I just speak from personal experience of them.
All the best

Burnham is my second team too and I live in Burnham. The ground problems are just starting for them too - Nicholas Binns, a Conservative Burnham Parish Councillor is standing for the South Bucks District Council in the election on 21st March and has just had a letter delivered around Burnham to say that his only campaign issue in standing is to stop this going ahead -- Quote from his letter "Additionally there is to be a District Council by-election on 21st March abd I am standing for this election. I pledge as a local resident and member of the Parish CouncilPlanning Committee to FIGHT THIS TOOTH AND NAIL" - (His capitals). He alleges that there will be late night disco and rave parties. His allegations are wild about the effects of the club, but he intends to take on the mantle of the unlamented Councillor Dolan who hated both Burnham and Slough Football clubs - hence the problems both clubs have had from his time on the District Planning Committee. So, I believe this is a fight for local football which impacts all those who support the game. If you live in or near the affected area of Burnham you can write in support of the extra facilities for football to David Green, Head of Development Control, South Bucks District Council, Windsor Road, Slough SL1 2HN. The references are 02/00249 and 02/00250.
Who knows - it could be a decent temporary ground share which we may need!
