Country Pubs!!!!!

Anyone know of any decent country pubs that me and Mrs Zeal could go to to grab some grub before we go back to the Zeal's to watch Dirty Dancing?!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I only know of country pubs in Markyate, Luton, and Dunstable!!!!!!

I dont know where Tyttenhanger is!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!! I think it's off that rough Highfields estate!!!!!!!!!

I think there is one in Chiswell green. i've heard that is quite good, but we can always go further afield to Haprenden!!!! The White horse does good grub and the other pub does good grub (i think as well)

Yeah, the White Horse is pretty nice. I used to go in there a lot when I lived in Harpenden.

Thats the one we went to the other sunday. Don't really know what it's like inside as we sat outside, but i suppose it just depends on the weather!!!!!!!!!

Don't be ridiculous. The Vintry is a dump. Just like the Bell and the Peahen.

 

It's a shame, because the Peahen was a quality pub before they 'did it up' in the mid-90s.

 

The Tudor is a good pub, or it certainly was about 5 years ago. We used to go in there all the time.

Hmmmmm, i like the bell, and the vintry. I don't likt the peahen - cant stand it!!!!!!!

 

I've always found that the tudor has the same cd on all the time - but i do go there occationally (or i used to).

 

O'neils is good, but i also like Casa!!!!!!!

The Peacock used to be OK before they turned it into a sauna (all that stripped pine, yuk!).

 

I suppose the [****!!****] is too 'scarfer' so why not the Hogshead (Blackies) - sit in the 'garden' and watch the traffic go by.

LOL!!!!!! Yeah - they've just painted it!!!!!! It looks awful!!!! It used to be a cream colour, but i have no idea why they chose this new awful colour - Maybe the landlord is colour blind?!!!!!!!! Well he does come from Markyate!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt Mr Thorns ever saw the old Peahen, as his liberation probably only coincided with the 'done up' version.
