Kasabian is wicked, some scarfer on the Bedford site said they sounded like the Verve <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Just played it.

 

Sounds more like Northside mixed with Flowered Up (Egg Rush) than either The Verve or the Happy Mondays.

The NME said it sounded like Oasis, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Inpsiral Carpets, sounding as good as the first three and as sh*t as the last. Idiots! probably some 20yr old knobend who's never heard much by any of them .... and especially not Flowered Up

 

That Charlotte Whats-her-face single is quite catchy as well

Yeah, slight similarities to the Mondays, but only in the same way as Northside sounded a bit like the Mondays.

Other than that, not bad if you like Sleeper/Elastica!

 

Still don't get the deal about the Libertines mind you. I mean, the single's okay, but people rave about them, and I can't help thinking it's more to do with Pete Doherty's drug addiction that the music.

 

Find them bland, uninventive, half-baked and sounding like a badly-rehearsed 70s punk outfit.

 

Or maybe that's the appeal??
