He-heh! Another 'Almost' Signing!!??

Recommended Posts

We have signed Naybet though, after watching the Caligiari game I reckon we could do with a couple of defenders.

The other rumours on the go ar Hargreaves, Tudor and Shaun Wright-Phillips, though I'm not sure Wrighty senior would approve. The only one with any likelihood is Tudor but that one's been on the go for ages.

The new Swedish Left back Edman looks good and Defoe looks pretty sharp for the new season too, I would prefer to have Keane back though. Liverpool will be a very tough game, I'd be happy to take a draw on that one.

I think you're right on The England front, I think Hargreaves did make his debut at the Lane.

The right back slot will probably be filled by Stephen Kelly. I also saw a youngster in both the academy game at Chesham, then the Caligiari game called Paul Ifill and he has a lot of potential, he could be the next Carr.

Though I'm sad to see him go, Carr is not the same player he was a couple of seasons ago.

Agreed. Actually, I think you have to go back to the 98/99 for the last time he had a truly outstanding season. Then he got injured and hasn't really been the same since.

Heard of this Ifil fella - he sounds good. There was a bit about him on Ceefax last week.

But less of this talk about us having an academy - West Ham are the only club allowed one of those!!

I wonder what they teach these kids at the West Ham Academy, I can just imagine a day there:

9.00 Breakfast of Jellied Eel accompanied by Cockney Purley Kings and Queens singingodes to Harry Redknapp, Bobby Moore and Trevor Brooking.

9.30 Practice Match, Julian Dicks runs a shooting practice session.

10.00 Lecture on How West Ham are the biggest club in London and how, by renaming division 1 but changing names to the 'Championship' is almost like being promoted, thus making West Ham the biggest club in history.

11.30 Marco Boogers explains the contractual difficulties of pleading insanity in the caravan he ran to after a month with the Hammers, just north of Margate.

12.00 Pray at the Statue of Bobby Moore

12.30 Lecture with Billy Bonds and Barbara Windsor, the Krays a force for good or a couple of homicidal maniacs?

1.00 Warm up

3.00 Get ready for first team action

4.45 Sign for a club that actually play in the Premiership after showing they've more talent than anyone else in this East End Sh1thole.

Don't think Nigel D would like that, what d'ya think Zealster?!
