according to the programme @ Potters Bar, the ETFC has left and gone to PBTFC!

Read it again ST. It says that the players will be dual-registered for both Potters Bar Town and Enfield Town this season. They will play midweek for PBT and Sundays for ET. They will also play as ET in the FA Youth Cup as we didn't enter that competition this season.

In fact, nobody "had" to pay. Everyone had the option not to buy one if they chose. (That's not a phrase in Arkwright's vocabulary, by the way!).

The programme alluded to the real reason why ETFC are not in the Ryman League (as told to me by a very senior source who was told by Alan Turvey directly) without going into the full story (too long-winded and is now old hat anyway). It mentioned what had happened to your youth team this year. It mentioned what we were doing to raise money for Squadron Leader's Chemo Unit campaign and it contained the squad line-up as e-mailed to me by Roger Reed. And that's not to mention the stuff about PBT! How much more do you want in a pre-season programme?

I deliberately chose not to include the ETFC history as I made mention to that in the programme for the last friendly two years ago and felt that Gilli's cause was more deserving of the space available. It was just as well as Ciaran's info for the programme wasn't e-mailed to me until this Tuesday, five days AFTER the game!

The cover price was admittedly more than I would have ideally wanted to charge but, as my current work situation does not allow me access to an office photocopier, I had to take the template to a professional printer and pay a lot more than I would have liked to get them printed.

The adult admission price was our normal admission price. There were a few concerned voices as we charged slightly above normal when you last visited two years ago and we remembered that this time. And still we get criticism! Some people want to have their bread pudding and eat it!
