Lee Hughes - Jailed for 6 years

Recommended Posts

Agree again Bigchin, wba almost certainly knew he was guilty, yet still played him for their own selfish benefit.

In the past the F.A. have dropped players who were under investigation, ie Rio and wba should have done the same but they didn't, they should feel equally guilty and ashamed!

Jesus BC you on the Stella's already fella. I think you need to be a bit tougher bud..LOL.

My view is that once inside he will be treated very well. You can imagine the WBA fans banged up with him treating him like God. It will happen you know it will. I'm just hoping the majority are Birmingham fans who kicked the sh*t out of the mug. This bloke is a coward and deserves to be punished in a way the pain and hurt will live with him for the rest of his life.

Nice one BigChin.

However ! Lets consider the evidence.

You or me goes out with a gun in our possession. Gets p1ssed and ends up shooting someone. Life ! Usually 12 to 14 years.

Footballer goes out and gets p1ssed, kills someone in his car and disappears for 36 hours to make sure the blood is clear and gets 6 years.

OBJECT LESSON: If you want to kill someone, use a car.

As Dell Boy would say, "You know it makes sense..... !!"

Spot on J.R.

By all accounts there were several other's implicated in this case, rumour has it that his wife and a couple of his mates and family were also involved in collecting him from the scene and helping out with his 36 hour disappearance! Could they not be accessories to murder???

I'd agree with you Col in most situations, however, this little [****!!****] was banged to rights in mine and pretty much everyone's opinion. At the end of the day, the guy killed another human and WBA played him quite simply for the reason that they had no better forwards and wanted to win promotion. It would be interesting to see what the dead guys widow and fatherless children made of the little [****!!****] playing and gleefully celebrating his goals????

colin is far to politically correct for these debates and talks a load of pinko bollox....

bigchin got it right and so did the rest of you.....

innocent until proven guilty relates to incaceration and bail arrangements....not fckn bang to rights drunken coked up murderers....

of course the club knew what was going on...megson is a mouthy self opinionated fckn scumbag anyway....

a man lay in his grave and his family grieved at the side of it......

megson picked a player who caused that sorrow and the player ran around the pitch after scoring whilst the fans applauded....

and the family stood alongside of the grave and wept.....

these fckn scumbags deserve bigchins way of punishement....

I believe in the theory of being innocent until proven guilty. However in this case there did not need to be a trial to prove Hughes' guilt. A man died because of a crash caused by Hughes driving his car at dangerous speeds into another car. End of story. The fact that the evil ginger scrote ran away so that he didn't drop himself in further [***!!***], be it because of booze or drugs just goes to show what complete disregard he has for the life of another person. Oh crap, I've killed a man, better hide for a bit as me getting only six years rather than 15 is more important to me than the ppor sod I've just mangled.

Very nicely put, Unc !!

Lord asks, [color:"blue"] Could they not be accessories to murder??? [color:"black"]

Haven't actually read the notes of the case, but the charge would have been under The Road Traffic Act, viz, 'Causing Death By Dangerous Driving'

Murder is the PREMEDIATED killing of another person.

As far as I am aware, other people cannot be accessories to a non premediated crime. Unfortunate, but there it is !

On a six year sentence by todays standards, if he's a very good little boy, he'll be out in less than three years.

What sticks in my throat is that we tax payers have to fork up for his incarceration. That's why I'm a great believer in the death sentence. Why should we pay for murderers to be kept in luxury ?

Iraq have got it just about right by re-introducing the death sentence. I'm so glad it p1ssed Tony Bliar off !!

True. But I'm sure that the people of the UK would happily pay a little more in tax than have numerous rapists, drug barons, murderers and the like running around our midst. (Devil's advocate!)

Recent estimates put the UK prisons' population at around 80,000 compared to the total population of 56m. So, what gets me, is that everything in this country is constantly outsourced or imported from abroad because it's cheaper or they can't find people to work for peanuts.... in true Rolf Harris style, "Can you tell what it is yet?!"

Now I'm not suggesting chain gangs, but let's at least revitalise the UK's economy....We HAVE to pay for the keep and livelihood of these criminals, can we not find a use for this tidy little work force?
Get them all doing something rather than just sitting on their a*ses, watching Trisha, [***!!***] and developing(or furthering!) drug addictions!

However, I'm also for the Scandinavian approaches to Law and Order, whereby fines are linked to anuual income.

Ergo, because of his assets and wages, Hughes should be forced to pay to keep himself in prison, cough up for all legal fees and pay huge compensation to the family. Oh yeah, and all the while being made to work doing something menial, unrewarding, laborious and soul-destroying...that'll also remind him of the good ol' days at West Brom!

I agree. As outlined later in my post. Why should we pay taxes to keep people in prison?
If they can afford it...let them pay. If they can't, make `em work for their keep.
As I wrote, I was merely playing devil's advocate.

But when you say these scum do you mean all criminals or just (allegedly) drunken, overpaid, manslaughtering football ones?

Maybe Pal "us lot" have more morals than that little pr1ck and wouldn't get smashed out of our heads and crash our motor into someone else's car, killing them. Or is that OK in your book??

A well thought out posting pal, thanks for contributing with such an intelligent posting, give yourself a pat on the back <img src="/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />
