Error with pre-season?

[color:"blue"]Have we made an error with the pre-season list? I know it was difficult having no home matches, but was the opposition a little too tame? We need a new goalie (and defence) but have not had the opposition to test those in the frame - certainly not Ashford /Tonbridge or Erith (Ramsgate game came too soon after training had started - Mullins was never really in with a chance).

We could have done with a test from a Conference side or at least a Dr Martens/Ryman Premier side.

 

Against Ashford, Tonbridge & Erith we've done well, let's hope we're not lulled into a false sense of security when the real stuff startson Saturday.

Tend to agree in theory,but there again it was the same last year and we did ok(in the end)albeit was the bad start last year connected with a poor pre-season last year.

 

For some reason, i feel we are good enough to hold our own this year though, and in fairness, defence with Anon, Edwards and Oates is not vastly different to last year;with imo Green if he signs looking outstanding and very settled in with the team.

 

To me, problem areas are lack of a big striker, and lack of a defensive/midfield player like Leberl which is a vital role.

All the midfield player are similar types.

 

If we get Barnett and Duku, i think Annon could do the defensive midfield role

Tonbridge are the equivalent of DMPL.
