Another good workout, was again impressed by our fitness - Redbridge changed their entire team at half time, we didn't and it was only last 10 or so kinutes we started to look more tired than them! Should have had a first half lead as well as the ref failed to give the most blatent of penalties when their donkey defender went straight through dorms 2 footed and apparently they're allowed to do that now. Redbridge took the lead after some static defending from Town allowed Wayne Vaughan to score, we equalised after ht when Brad Allen nutmegged the keeper and cooly finished then right at the end we tired a touch and they got a fortuitous winner at the end through Nathan Elder

Indeed YA but he looked quite sharp to be fair.

 

I think that despite the result we've got to be happy with our efforts. In the first half when I take it both sides had decent xi s out there we were clearly better than them. Looking fwd to the proper action next Saturday now....

In fairness to Wayne Vaughan he has only just recovered from a very nasty broken leg. He has never really fulfilled the potential he showed for us when he scored 20 odd goals and was Ryman League top scorer a few seasons ago.

We pissed the first half. Should have been well clear. 2nd half was a stroll for our reserves. Gifted you a goal (nutmeg my [****!!****]) and then over ran you. 2-1 flattered you sheepshaggers.Our younsters were queing up to score in the end. Funny how against Canvey you 'rested' your first team at HT and they capitilised, but when we did it our 11 ressies were still too much for you. Thought you lot were well supported as well. Funny but the league rules state that you cannot change your whole team after half time. In light of that, we would've scored more in the second half...

 

As for the first half...how many chances did we have and a penalty that should've been given. Basically this guy is taking out of his [****!!****]. Steam rollered!!! Joker.

Hit the woodwork 3 times as well. Don't think we've ever been called sheep-shaggers before though. Still, it's a lonely exsistence being a Ford supporter!

League rules ??? This was a pre-season friendly besides we have risen from the depths of the Ryman. Hit the woodwork 3 times? 2 of those were at the same time.Do you want to be awarded goals for them? I thought the idea was to get the ball between the posts as we managed twice to your once. Big club, loads of fans, full time pro's yet beaten but by us and in a lower division. END OF!

So you didn't notice you had a completey different team out in the second half (which was my point)...

 

If this was a league game, that situation wouldn't've occured and I'm sure we would've managed another couple of goals.

 

As you say, it was a pre season and we have less to worry about than you...whilst we will be enjoying promotion next season, I'm sure you'll be enjoying relegation...We'll give you a wave as we pass you.
