Slough 2-1 Team Bath

A great win today. The entire team were superb. I'll be surprised if we don't win the league if we play like that all season!! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Seriously though, it really is good for the confidence for the team. I don't think anyone in particular played badly, although Josisas Carbon wasted in my opinion what would have been good goal-scoring opportunities by being very unselfish on several occasions.

Agreed it is a good win for confidence and I think we played well in patches. Difficult conditions as ludicrously hot. Can't wait for next week.

IMO the outstanding player today was Metcalfe who looked a different class throughout the match. Hakki had a mare and Harris, Carbon and Murphy looked shadows of the players they were on Tuesday but then the heat would have played a massive part. Something that no-one's mentioned yet is the injury to Miller who limped off in the second half. If both he and Seedel are unavailable for the opening game will Deaner partner Hodges; personally I feel they are too alike so maybe Spencer will play behind Hodges as he did when he came on today behind Deaner.

As I understand it Andy Deaner will miss the first two games as he's at Weddings I thought I heard. Also Wilko has been on health and safety courses the last two Saturday's but he'll be back for Kick-off and will probably play Tuesday. Spence up front then maybe?
