I have already said on the Hornchurch Site, I don't care what team they bring, as long as we get a game & its a good game. It all goes to getting out boys Ultra Fit & thats the aim of the game!

 

Thats what we did at Potters Bar Town any way so Jim could have a look at some of our Younger Players. I did.nt think it was a bad game.

And we are Potters Bar TOWN yet the ETFC website seemed quite happy to miss the Town off the end of our name in the build up to Thursday's match. Not too bothered even though it could lead people to be confused with Potters Bar Crusaders (yes, they do still exist) or Potters Bar United. However, I was surprised that you missed off our suffix considering how touchy many of you seem to be about your own!

Menopausal because we are wrongly called the name of an alternative team? We've come a long way in three years but there is still a lot of healing over the past club abuse and so differenciation from the former club matters.

Yeah, but still no further forward. Trophies mean naff all if you still end up being a pike swimming with the sticklebacks.

New ground? You have made some improvements to BRIMSDOWN'S stadium. Fair play, shame I cannot make the midweek clash to view it first hand, but take it from experience, until you have your own place taking money over the bar that goes into your coffers, then you will be continually treading water..

Fair point...but where are you on August 8, 2004? ESL just like us. Read posts slowly before responding..I am not comparing title or cup wins. Listen we were like you guys 12 years ago, although our birth was in slightly differing circumstances. Yes, we do wish you well and you deserve better, but slowly slowly catchee monkey. Never get ahead of the game, cause it might just have a tendency to come back and bite yer ass!

If u consider 12 months ago, we played on an open field, with a rail around it, and look at what we have acheived in 12 months, then I think even the most cynical would be impressed.

things could have been better on the field; but there are only so many trophies to be one each season; and we have had our fair view.

I agree that bar takings are important; but there is more thanone way to skin a cat!
